A 52-year-old woman bound for Iloilo was found dead just outside one of the gates at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 Sunday afternoon.
Guards found Doris Santo unconscious outside Gate 116 at around 3:10 p.m. She was traveling alone and was supposed to board a flight to Iloilo at 6:35 p.m., sources said.
Doctors summoned by the guards later pronounced her dead at the scene.
Airport officials searched Santo’s bag in order to contact her relatives. They found that Santo’s relatives all live in Bacolod and called a certain Jacinta Vasquez for the turnover of Santo’s remains.
It is not yet known what caused Santo’s death.
