A warrant of arrest will be prepared against self-proclaimed hitman Edgar Matobato for failing to appear at a scheduled hearing on Tuesday, October 4.
Judge Silverio Mandalupe of the Davao City Municipal Trial Court Branch 3 said that he will issue a warrant of arrest against Matobato and will deny his bail bond.

Matobato faces court trial for violation of Republic Act 10591 or illegal possession of firearms, deriving from his alleged possession of a Colt .45 pistol without permit on June 19, 2014.
Matobato made recent headlines for his appearance as a witness at the Senate inquiry into the alleged extrajudicial killings.
Davao Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte denied Matobato's claim that the latter was one of his bodyguards.
“Mr. Matobato, I do not know you,” Duterte said.
The younger Duterted also said that he was not a regular student of the Ateneo de Davao University, as Matobato claimed, but was only sitting in at some of the early classes in the 1990s.
The vice mayor added that he was then enrolled at the Philippine Women's COllege in Davao, at San Beda and the University of Southeastern Philippines.
Matobato is also facing charges for frustrated murder by a retired Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) judge in Davao del Sur last September 23.
