Malaysian Police, Interpol Tapped to Arrest Kerwin

The government will coordinate with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) and the Malaysian police to ensure the arrest of suspected drug lord Kerwin Espinosa.

According to Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa, now that the arrest warrant is out, they can start the coordination with the Royal Malaysian police through their police attaché.

Dela Rosa said immigration records showed that Kerwin has not exited Malaysia yet.

A regional trial court in Leyte ordered the arrest of Espinosa and his father Rolando, mayor of Albuera, Leyte for alleged possession of illegal drugs, firearms and explosives.

The elder Espinosa was arrested on Wednesday and is being held at the provincial jail in Baybay City.
