WATCH: Roxas Applauds Political Rival Duterte

A video of former DILG Secretary Mar Roxas commending President Rodrigo Duterte went viral on social media. The ANC video which was taken before President Duterte's filing for candidacy for 2016 elections already gained more than 120,000 views.

President Rodrigo Duterte and former Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Mar Roxas are the biggest rivals in the 2016 elections, with both candidates having the most expressive supporters.

Now, months after the elections and with Duterte taking in-charge in the office, a video of Roxas from ANC went viral on social media.

The video shows the former secretary, praising the former Davao mayor's quality governance in Davao City. Roxas also expressed his support to the president in implementing Federalism in the country.

"Davao City has always been known for having a clear set of rules, these rules are steadfastly, reliably, and consistently applied. You know exactly what is good citizenship and bad citizenship," Roxas said in the video.

Roxas said that the notable quality of governance in Davao City can be beneficial to other parts of the country. He also mentioned that Federalism would provide "an alternative solution to a problem."

The date when the video was taken is unknown but the website confirmed that it was taken before Duterte's filing for candidacy for the 2016 Elections.
