Dela Rosa Thought US Would Take Back the Police Equipment They Donated

Even before the cancellation of the bilateral meeting between Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte and United States President Barack Obama. US Embassy has donated high-tech equipment to the Philippine National Police.

PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa has been singing praises for the donations. The equipment will be distributed to different end-users such as the PNP Training Service, the Anti-cybercrime Group, Special Action Force, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit, and K-9 units. Especially the bomb suits since there was a bombing incident in Davao City. Also, most materials are not available locally.

"I was afraid this morning when I read the news that since president obama canceled the meeting with president duterte, you may as well cancel the turnover of these equipment," Dela Rosa said.

"Now you can no longer take them back because you have already turned this over to us," he added.

Dela Rosa is rest assured that no matter what happened between the two presidents but the ties between US and Philippines will not be affected.
