Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa ordered on Saturday an investigation on the "escape" of one of the suspects in the alleged assassination plot on President Rodrigo Duterte.
According to the report of GMA News' John Consulta on Balitanghali, Dela Rosa made the call after reports that gun supplier Bryan Ta-ala and his gunrunner Wilford Palma left the hospital in Bacolod City where the former was confined due to hypertension.

Ta-ala had posted bail for his provisional liberty before the Regional Trial Court in Bacolod City on Friday and was allowed to leave the hospital.
He was arrested with Palma, who admitted to being part of a gun smuggling syndicate that sold gun parts to make 100 M-16 rifles to a group supposedly planning to kill the President.
While his boss Ta-ala was confined in a hospital, Palma, at the Police national headquarters in Camp Crame, confessed that his group supplied gun parts to client-group allegedly planning to assassinate Duterte.
Ta-ala ang Palma were arrested on August 6 based on information from the US Homeland Security to the Bureau of Customs, which was then relayed to the PNP's Criminal Investigation and Detection Group. — Rie Takumi/LBG, GMA News
