An Agusan del Sur judge known for his tough stance against drugs was ambushed.
Judge Hector Salise of the Bayugan court was on a car driven by his driver when fired at along the highway in Barangay (village) Limon around 7 a.m., Insp. Ronelo Dormitorio, deputy chief of the city police’s station 4 said.

Dormitorio said Salise was on his way to Agusan del Sur, where he handles cases such as violation of the anti-drugs law, when the incident took place.
Salise was known to be tough against drug suspects whose cases fall under his sala.
Based on initial investigation, Salise was able to fire back but it was not known if he had hit any of the suspects
Salise and his driver, who was not identified as of this posting, suffered gunshot wounds and were rushed to a hospital.
