Detained former senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. was taken to the hospital Saturday morning, November 5, after complaining of severe headache and vomiting.
Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman, said Revilla was first taken to the emergency room of the PNP General Hospital inside Camp Crame at around 9:00 a.m.
“He experienced vomiting, severe headache and hypertension,” said Carlos, quoting report from the Custodial Center where the senator is detained.
But on the recommendation of doctors inside the PNP General Hospital, Revillas was transferred to the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City on board a PNP ambulance.
Revilla arrived at the St. Luke’s at 11:40 a.m., Carlos said.
The former senator has been in detention at the PNP Custodial Center after being implicated in pork barrel scam, wherein he was accused of pocketing hundreds of millions of public money placed in bogus organizations allegedly set up by Janet Napoles.
His bestfriend and former senator Jinggoy Estrada, also charged in connection with the pork barrel scam, is with Revilla at the Custodial Center.
