As the Philippine National Police (PNP) elevated its anti-drug campaign, its mascot PO1 Bato or “Tsip Bato,” recently covered the viral Japanese song Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen (PPAP) song to promote drug awareness.
Tsip Bato went all out and performed his version of Japanese comedian and singer-songwriter DJ Kosaka Daimamou known as Piko-Taro’s PPAP song with a twist.
The mascot featured three kinds of drugs ordinary citizens need to avoid and sang it in the tune of PPAP.
The PNP’s PPAP version quickly spread online after it was released in PNP's Police Community Relations Group Facebook page last October 10. As of posting, it has been shared by 630,000 and liked by 9,800 netizens.
