Seventy-four Overseas Filipino Workers
(OFWs) received relief assistance from the government, the regional
office of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA Caraga
Region 13) said.
Just last October 21, the agency had extended P1,480,000 relief assistance to the 74 OFWs.
These OFWs include those who are still at job site in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and those who had already been repatriated to their respective provinces within the region.
Among these OFWs are 27 from Agusan del Norte, 15 from Agusan del Sur, 10 from Surigao del Sur and 6 from Surigao del Norte, the agency said.
In addition, 16 OFWs outside Caraga region had been accommodated for their claims as well, according to OWWA 13.
