Miss Philippines Earth 2016, Imelda Bautista Schweighart, made the worst statements while on Facebook Live, gaining herself enough bashers to to flood her account.
Schweighart was nestled up next to Miss Earth Austria 2016, Kimberly Budinsky, on Facebook Live when she decided to ask the European a terribly awkward question.
"Is Hitler from Austria?" she asked.
Budinsky's smile disappeared from her face and obviously struggled to respond.
“That's a bad question because we normally don't really talk about Hitler. But yes, he is," Budinsky said.
Schweighart then made things worse when she started comparing Philippines' President Rodrigo Duterte to the Nazi leader.
“Oh my God, our President is doing Hitler stuff here in the Philippines," Schweighart said
The live-stream which was posted on Monday has already been viewed more than 400,000 times, garnering mixed responses from critics. She was immediately condemned by netizens, mostly challenging her to just quit the pageant after the disgrace that she had done.
During a speech Duterte referenced Hitler killing millions of Jews, saying he was willing to slaughter the same number of criminals in the Philippines.
However, the President immediately apologized to the Jewish community, admitting that he took the wrong words to describe his actual goal and message.
