Marcelino to Bare All on De Lima: 'She Could’ve Attempted to Use Me'

Marine lieutenant colonel and anti-narcotics operative Ferdinand Marcelino expressed his disappointment at Sen. Leila de Lima’s decision to release his text message to his classmate without his permission, saying her act may be construed as an attempt to use him.

Marcelino told ABS-CBN that De Lima could have informed him but she didn't. He also said that it's possible for her to use him.

De Lima shared Marcelino's text message as proof that he was supposedly being pressured by certain groups to testify against her.

However, Marcelino denied the senator's claim and insisted that nobody pressured him to speak against De Lima.

Marcelino, a noted anti-narcotics crusader who was arrested in January after law enforcement agencies raided a warehouse he was in, also promised to tell the truth if he "will be summoned on any forum at the Senate or Congress or any inquiry."

His counsel Public Attorney's Office (PAO) Persida Acosta, however, stressed that Marcelino should also be guaranteed immunity from suit to prevent retaliation.
