President Rodrigo Duterte took some time off from his official duties as he stood as one of the principal sponsor in a wedding at the San Agustin Church in Intramuros, Manila on Friday.
Clad in a white barong, Duterte walked down the aisle together with Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales at the wedding of Waldo and Regine Carpio.
Waldo is a brother of Manases Carpion, husband of Duterte's daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, while the groom is a nephew of Morales.
Duterte was seated beside business tycoon Ramon Ang and Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello, who also stood as sponsors.
In the photos released by the Malacañang, the President was seen coddling one of his grandsons during the wedding.
Also present in the event were Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos.
